- Roman tiles: flat in the middle, with a concave curve at one end at a convex curve at the other, to allow interlocking.
- Pantiles: with an S-shaped profile, allowing adjacent tiles to interlock. An example of this is the "double Roman".
- Mission or barrel tiles: semi-cylindrical tiles laid in alternating columns of convex and concave tiles
- Interlocking roof tiles: similar to pantiles with side and top locking to improve protection from water and wind.
- IBR: inverted box rib roofing sheets designed to overlap one another
- Corrugated iron sheeting: Is an angular trapezoidal-fluted sheet, designed for use as a roof covering and side-wall cladding.
- Secret & concealed fix aluminium sheeting: Concealed fix roof sheeting is designed to provide a roof covering without end laps to buildings with pitches as little as 1.5 degrees without piercing the sheet when fixing to purlins.
