GRANITE SLAB REPAIRS CLAIM

DAMAGE REPORT:

A burst pipe was identified by our leak detection team and was repaired as soon as possible. I have provided the plumbers report below:

A technician attended to the above-mentioned property on 07 October in order to conduct a leak detection test. After extensive correlation tests were conducted, a burst was located on the cold-water supply pipe at the kitchen mixer. We recommend opening and exposing the wall at the kitchen wall by the kitchen mixer in order to expedite the necessary repairs.

The recommendations mentioned above were conducted and completed. I have since been back to the property to conduct a reassessment of the resultant damages. I have provided a breakdown of the damages below:

The kitchen BICs in the area have been badly affected with multiple components subsequently being waterlogged and thus warping, expanding and the overall condition diminishing.
These components will need to be replaced with new components and the old discarded. The damaged components include parts such as the upright panels, shelves, backing board and the majority of the carcass.
The tiling splashback running above this area will need to be completely removed and replaced with new tiles. This is simply due to the plumbing works needing to be repaired and the burst pipe replaced.
